Designed for Douglas and Bec as part of my Product Design Degree at AUT University; These vessels are made from American ash wood which has been carefully wood turned inside and out then finished with a clear acrylic varnish and matt white paint for the details. The ceramic lid is cast from twigs found in Auckland's Albert Park and Pohutakawa trunk. The lids are then re-fired in the kiln with a glaze and the inside lined with cork to create a snug fit between the lid and the vessel.
